This is the second of a series of books about politics for children. It’s an introduction to how elections work. The animals decide they are tired of their king and that it is time to vote for a president.
The book was crowdfunded and then written collectively with the children in a series of workshops.
It was illustrated by Larissa and André using a playful collective method mixing hundreds of paper cut outs and loose pencil and charcoal doodles, then colored digitally.
The book was first published by Companhia das Letras, one of the biggest publishers in Brazil, and has sold its publishing rights to more than 15 different countries! It's published in the U.S. by Nancy Paulsen/Penguin Random House.
